I am a 27 year old software developer with a passion for investing and finance. I was inspired to start blogging while doing some web surfing. A guy who shares the same first and last name has a fantastic blog at livingoffdividends.com. In just a few years he has accumulated investments in real estate, gold and oil. I really like his idea of passive income. It is important that you make your money work for you. Thats the quickest and the easiest way to generate wealth. I would like to thank him for inspiring me to start this website.
Over the past 2 years, I have started investing in stocks. I am attracted to the value approach of investing and am learning about it mainly by reading books. I really admire Warren Buffet both for his investing skills as well as his approach to life. My favorite books on investing so far are “Rule #1 Investing” by Phil Town and “The Little Book of Value Investing” by Christopher Browne. I like the simple way in which they explain investing to amateur investors like me.
I have this crazy dream about writing a book someday on investing. To achieve that I have to first prove myself in investing. I think I don’t write that well so I have to improve my vocabulary and writing skills as well. I hope that this blog gives me the platform to share my journey of investing with you and helps me in reaching my goal.
